Leann's Commitment to Flagler

Leann is a strong advocate for conservation and the protection of our natural resources through the Environmentally Sensitive Lands (ESL) program. She has supported efforts to preserve thousands of acres of land for wildlife habitat, water quality, and future generations, ensuring that Flagler County maintains its rural character and natural beauty. Through partnerships and responsible use of voter-approved ESL funding, the county continues to expand conservation lands and protect critical ecosystems across the community.

Leann believes in smart, responsible growth that protects Flagler County’s farms, rural communities, and way of life. She has consistently stood up for residents by speaking out at municipal meetings to oppose unchecked expansion that threatens the character of our county. 

Leann supports thoughtful planning that directs development to appropriate areas while preserving agricultural lands, open space, and the integrity of our rural districts.

By balancing growth with strong land-use policies, Leann is committed to ensuring that as our county grows, we never lose the heritage, values, and natural beauty that define our community.

Leann has made public safety a top priority by supporting law enforcement, strengthening fire and rescue services, and investing in faster emergency response for rural communities. She has worked to expand fire station coverage and improve response times, especially in underserved areas, ensuring residents receive the police, fire, and medical services they need when it matters most. 

Leann remains committed to standing with our first responders and keeping Flagler County safe, strong, and prepared.

Leann has consistently delivered on her promise to reduce the burden on taxpayers, lowering Flagler County’s property tax rate every year she has been in office. She believes government should live within its means and that families deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money.

Leann is committed to taking that progress even further by continuing to cut wasteful spending, prioritizing essential services, and ensuring responsible budgeting. Her focus remains clear: lower taxes, limited government, and real relief for Flagler County residents.

As Benjamin Franklin famously said, “A republic, if you can keep it.” Leann takes that responsibility seriously, standing firm to protect our rights, preserve our values, and ensure that future generations inherit the same freedoms we enjoy today.

Leann is committed to protecting Flagler County’s coastline and ensuring long-term, responsible funding for beach erosion efforts. She has worked to identify sustainable solutions that combine local, state, and tourism-based funding sources, reducing the burden on taxpayers while preserving one of our county’s most valuable natural assets.

Leann understands that our beaches are critical to our economy, environment, and quality of life, and she remains focused on securing a balanced, long-term plan to protect them for residents, visitors, and future generations.

Leann is a strong supporter of historical preservation, the arts, and celebrating the cultural heritage that makes Flagler County unique. She believes that honoring our history and investing in the arts strengthens community identity and pride for generations to come.

Leann has also personally supported efforts within the City of Bunnell to create a mutual district dedicated to showcasing local art and history—helping bring together residents, visitors, and businesses while highlighting the stories and traditions that define our community. Through these efforts, she remains committed to preserving our past while building a vibrant cultural future.
